The 2020 Apple iPad Tablets
Apple’s 2020 iPad line offers an alternative to the Kindle from Amazon and litany of e-readers and Android tablets. Apple is a company known as the leading manufacturer of computers and consumer electronics but most notably due to the iPad which is a touchscreen tablet PC. The new iPad line-up of touchscreen tablets utilizes the best of what Apple can offer along with cutting edge technology that delivers exceptional consumer experiences all at a price lower than that offered by competitors. This year’s additions are interesting in that the iPad family of touch-screen tablets is not spread across a spectrum of functions, screen sizes, and price points.
$384 iPad Mini
The most basic iPad model this year is a mini tablet computer with a reduced touchscreen of 7.9 inches, as compared to the standard 9.7 inch screen. The tablet utilizes a touch ID screen and includes the A12 dedicated neutral network hardware that apples refers to as “Next-generation Neutral Engine”. You can connect your iPad to the Internet via Wi-FI and store more than 2GB of data on the tablet. It is compatible with Apple Pencil and with bluetooth keyboards. Apple promises up to 10 hours of web-surfing, listening to music or watching videos.
$469 iPad Air
The iPad Air is not a new model but it does have new features this year. The latest model sports a 10.5 inch screen and comes with retina display and LED-backlit with multi-touch and IPS technology. The built-in light illuminates the digital screen for the ability to read in low light. The iPad Air is available in 4G on Wi-Fi models. You can store up to 256GB of data on the iPad Air, plus additional storage is available for free in the cloud. Apple promises 10 hours of battery life on a single charge and 2224-by-1668 resolution at 264 ppi.
12.9-in iPad Pro
New to this year’s iPad Pro line-up is the 12.9 inch HD model. The iPad Pro 11-in was and still is a remarkably popular model. But plan on dishing out $1,250 if you intend to buy the 12.9-inch Wi-Fi, 512GB version and about $747 for the Apple iPad Pro 11-inch, Wi-Fi, 64GB or $890 for 256GB model. Some features on the 12.9-inch model include; Liquid Retina display. ProMotion technology, True Tone, Face ID, A12X Bionic chip with Neural Engine and up to 1TB storage.
